BREAKING NEWS! September 27, 2008 - The House voted today on HR6707. While the vote was 243 Yes and 175 No, we did not achieve the 2/3 necessary to pass the Bill. Our consultants in DC are working to see if any additional legislative options are available to us. Apparently the railroads reared their ugly heads at the last minute and were able to get to enough people to avoid the 2/3 necessary for passage. We are heartened in that we have been able to accomplish quite a bit in a very short amount of time and believe that the STB has heard our voices.
