RED GATE BRIDGE

January 7, 2010 NOTICE OF MEETING SPONSORED BY ST. CHARLES' RIVERS EDGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

Tuesday - January 12th, 2010 at 7pm at the Fox River Estates Clubhouse
35W537 Sunnyside Drive
St. Charles

We have a new web site stopredgatebridge.org and a new facebook page: redgatebridgeno

Please direct friends and neighbors to the site and encourage them to voice their opposition to the people listed on that site. It is extremely important that we keep this opposition strong.

Please invite as many people as you can to attend the meeting next Tuesday. We are depending on people to inform their neighbors and encourage them to come. It is important that we have representation from all areas/neighborhoods that will be affected by the bridge. The Daily Herald will be there and hopefully the Chronicle. The more people attending the better the chance of our opposition being published in the newspapers.

Thank you. Sherry Masterson

December 16, 2009 RED GATE BRIDGE

The Village of Wayne was represented by members of the Village Board and many residents at a Public Hearing held by the City of St. Charles last night concerning the Environmental Assessment and Section 4(f) Evaluation for the proposed construction of the Red Gate Road Bridge across the Fox River. The proposed project will extend Red Gate Road east of its current terminus at IL Route 31, across the Fox River, and will connect with IL Route 25 south of Pinelands Drive. Your Board is opposed to the construction of this bridge and the impact it will have on our Village. If you would like to voice your opinion on this matter, please click here to complete the Environmental Assessment and 4(f) Evaluation Public Comment Form and return it by December 31, 2009 to the address at the bottom of the form. General project information is available on the project web site at www.redgatebridge.org.

The Board of Trustees also encourages residents to contact our State and County officials to let them know we are opposed to the building of this bridge and believe funding resources would be better allocated to complete the Stearns Road Bridge.
